EH MovieStudio will rock motion capture
Krzysztof Monkiewicz of EveHor R&D has just received financial support from the Fund amounting to more than PLN 1,000,000 for the EH MovieStudio project. Thanks to the Fund’s investment, a motion-capture production system will be created, based on an algorithm using the necessary character and facial animation database, along with a module for procedurally generating lip movement to spoken text based on phonemes (so-called lip-sync).
EH MovieStudio will allow the production of demonstration and instructional videos to be used for the medical, education, training and many other industries. It will make it possible to convey the emotions and behavior of characters in a dynamic and authentic way, reproducing natural human movements. The algorithm managing the system, will be able to handle a wide range of animation styles – from simple character gestures to elaborate action sequences. That’s a huge creative potential!
