GraftFlow – a healthy combination of medicine and business
Paulina Ślisz-Sandecka and Jędrzej Kozioł from Ślisz-Sandecka Kozioł & Partnerzy Law Firm supported the Scanderia Venture Fund in the process of preparing, negotiating and agreeing investment documentation for the GraftFlow project and the development of Innovations For Heart And Vessels.
A team of experts in the persons of prof. Paweł Buszman, Piotr Buszman M.D., PhD, dr Piotr Hirnle started work on the research and development project GraftFlow. The aim is to develop, manufacture and test new generation stent grafts, coated with a polymer composite material with high biocompatibility.
A stentgraft is a small, synthetic tube that saves the lives of patients in the event of a rupture of the vessel wall during vascular angioplasty. Used in vascular surgery procedures, in the treatment of aneurysms, aortic dissections, or peripheral arterial drainage – it helps to strengthen the vessels or create a connection between them.
The work will be possible thanks to the investment of the Scanderia Venture Fund over PLN 117,000,000 from the funds of the BRIdge Alfa program and accession to the Investment Agreement with the Innovations For Heart And Vessels company established by a team of medical experts.
